Man dies following brawl with Sands casino security - 2004-02-11
A man who used forced entry into a casino office died following a scuffle with security guards, authorities stated.
The handcuffed body of Lanier J. Blunt, 29, of Sicklerville, was found in the lobby of a Sands Hotel & Casino telephone reservation office when police - answering a 911 call from casino security - came, as reported by Atlantic County Prosecutor Jeffrey Blitz.

Tribe insists La Center agreement is too prolonged - 2004-02-11
Cowlitz Tribe leaders claim they will develop land close to La Center, Wash., with or without a deal with Clark County.

As the board of county commissioners Tuesday talked about delaying a ruling about the agreement for two weeks, tribal chairman John Barnett stated that developing the agreement has taken long enough.
The Cowlitz Tribe wants to develop exactly 150 acres on the west side of Interstate 5 at the La Center exit. Even though tribal officials say they have no exact plans for the land, conversations target a casino on the site.
