With its antebellum homes and 1930s-style establishments, Eutaw often invokes scenes of the past. The future of the small town is what's in concern these days.
Most types of gambling are illegal in Alabama, though the Legislature has permitted it for charitable reasons in several counties. Constitutional amendments have also authorized bingo in several cities and counties. Lawmakers have not permitted casino gambling in Greene County, however, and some critics have complained that Greenetrack's video bingo machines are similar to other forms of gambling machines.
