Casino supporter convenes with Bridgeport mayor - 2004-02-14
When he announced Thursday his role as the principal investor behind the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation, Subway restaurant chain owner Fred DeLuca stated that he would push for Bridgeport to become host to a Schaghticoke casino.
The designation qualifies the tribe for health and education benefits, as well as the authorization to pursue a casino.

Fabrizzi stated Friday he welcomed DeLuca's visit and the possibility of economic development for his city.

Elko Convention and Visitors Authority's Marketing Committee is anticipating that Elko City Council will indefinitely stretch the room tax that is earmarked for marketing Elko.

McMullen introduced the question of Casino Express Airline's position at the Marketing Committee assembly Wednesday during the discussion regarding the marketing budget that is funded from room taxes.
