Dog Track Owner Revokes Bid For A Poker Room - 2004-02-14
A Sarasota greyhound race track owner has indefinitely delayed his request to operate low-stakes poker games. Last week the Sarasota City Commission chose to oppose the issuance of a Florida license for a 10-table card room at the parimutuel venue.

Collins indicated he would spend the time necessary to address a negative view "based on fear of the unknown and factual misunderstanding of the actual nature of our request" for the state license to authorize small-stakes poker games at the dog track.
