Advantages of gambling are a joke - 2004-02-14
Monday's front-page article on school proceeds from gambling is deeply disturbing. Based on that article, Arizona's schools are on road to attain an estimated $12 million annually from the casinos.

How much does it cost the state and the cities, together with families and businesses to fix the high price of gambling destruction? I recommend it is many times the handful of peanuts tossed to the schools.

Gaming Commission to examine casino plans - 2004-02-14
The developer of a proposed 35,000-square-foot casino located south of the Mississippi River bridge will offer his plans Wednesday for the state Gaming Commission's authorization.

Charles Cato, president of Emerald Star Casino, is on the agenda not only to offer the site for authorization, but to indicated the commission intentions for the casino, commission personnel stated on Friday.
