Blumenthal, casino foes confront Kent locals - 2004-02-14
Several casino expansion foes, including Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, convened with residents of Kent to field inquiries erupting from the latest federal recognition of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation.

Subway restaurant founder Fred DeLuca disclosed Thursday he has been the main investor behind the tribe since 1996 and would like to see a casino constructed in Bridgeport. Blumenthal stated he believes outside interests have lobbied and influenced the Bureau of Indian Affairs into reversing their preliminary decision against the Schaghticoke recognition.

Lemay seeks the elements promised in casino agreement - 2004-02-14
Talks to establish a new $300 million casino facility in St. Louis County are merely a few days old, and already some are concerned the development won't include all the attractions they're anticipating.

The plan, still being bargained and subject to government and regulatory authorization, includes a shopping mall, a cinema, bowling alley and restaurants, in addition to the casino.
Daniel Lee, chairman and chief executive of Pinnacle, stated that the company has not altered its plan for the casino and the other developments.
