Wisconsin residents have great reasons to vote - 2004-02-16
The majority of the nation will pay attention to Wisconsin Tuesday as voters go to the polls for the state’s presidential primary. Elections Board Executive Director Kevin Kennedy intends to see an estimated 1.6 million people to cast ballots.

Second, the state’s two population centers have controversial ballot problems. Dane County -- with Madison at its center -- will look into a casino referendum. Milwaukee has a mayoral primary.

Wisconsin voters to have major role in Democratic primary - 2004-02-16
Politicians and pundits have been relaying to Wisconsin voters for months how crucial they will be in choosing the Democratic nominee for president.

Besides the presidential primary, voters in Milwaukee will bridge the gap for mayor and county executive, while voters in Dane County will choose whether to authorized the expansion of an American Indian bingo hall into a complete casino.
