Concepts of the Radium Springs' destiny - 2004-02-16
Dougherty County - Generations of South Georgians liked the natural wonder of Radium Springs and the manmade beauty of the landmark casino. The flood-destoyed establishment was damaged late last year. And now, the district is off-limits. That will change inevitably.

The Radium Springs Casino Preservation Group lost the fight to save the Casino. But, they are still battling for their proposal to design a botanical garden on the site.

BLM seeks a casino to cash out - 2004-02-16
On a wish list that features ranches, creeks, canyons and basins, it sticks out like a sore thumb, like a tourist would.

It's the Hacienda Hotel and Casino on U.S. Highway 93 close to Boulder City, and it's on the Bureau of Land Management's proposed list of environmentally sensitive lands that could be bought by the government later this year.
