Gambling takes an academic twist in Calif. - 2004-02-16
Here in the American Indian gaming capital of California, the casino and the campus have ventured into matrimony of mutual financial benefit.
The courses include: Gaming Security and Surveillance, Table Games, Slot Analysis, Revenue Techniques, and Deterring and Detecting Casino Cheats.
For the gaming business, the San Diego State certificate should mean an extended pool of job applicants and something possibly even more unique, officials stated.

Sites of casinos up for vote - 2004-02-16
The City Commission will vote Tuesday on whether to extend temporary regulations on where casinos can be situated in Great Falls.

But it's a pretty safe gamble you won't see a new casino in your neighborhood anytime soon, unless someone sells a current liquor license to be used in a new location.

Under the regulations enacted last summer, casinos can be launched only downtown and in general commercial or industrial districts.
