New casino to revive Klerksdorp economy - 2004-02-16
The establishment of a multi-million rand casino resort in Klerksdorp in the North West is intended to revive the local economy by generating jobs.
The construction of the Tusk Rio Hotel Resort arrives when some of the country's largest mining houses have been retrenching employees at their operations in the Kosh region.

The construction will undergo two phases. The first phase will be the casino, which is intended to be in operation by October.

Lawyer insists police were unsuccessful in averting fatal Laughlin biker melee - 2004-02-16
A lawyer who won the liberty of a Hells Angels motorcycle gang member insists law enforcers infiltrated a biker gang and were unsuccessful in averting a fatal casino melee at the 2002 Laughlin River Run motorcycle rally.

Palazzo claimed the indictment cites ongoing conflict between Mongols and Hells Angels, and cites various confrontations the day prior to the melee -- including the beating of a Hells Angels member by Mongols members at another hotel-casino.
