Mohegans Will Cut Ribbon At New Pollution Prevention Center - 2004-02-17
The Mohegan Indians are establishing an energy, environment, economics and education facility where they will offer a location for pollution prevention seminars and present the use of clean technologies at their resort casino.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony with tribal and environmental authorities is scheduled for 10 a.m. today at the Monegan Sun central power plant, also dubbed the “t” building.

Hoover Dam casino will eventually close - 2004-02-17
The federal government would like to purchase and close a hotel-casino close to Hoover Dam with money earmarked for the purchase of environmentally sensitive lands, and the owners say they may be willing to sell.

Dave Belding, co-owner of the 17-floor, 375-room hotel-casino, stated he and his partners started to ponder on the idea of selling the Hacienda more than a year prior.
