South African Casino Intended To Bolster Economy - 2004-02-17
The establishment of a multi-million rand casino resort in Klerksdorp in the North West is expected to revive the local economy by offering job prospects.
The construction of the Tusk Rio Hotel Resort is at a time when the country's largest range of mining houses have been retrenching workers at their operations in the Kosh region.

"The construction will be undertaken in two phases. The first phase will be the casino, which is expected to be in operation by October."

In three weeks, the California Hotel and Casino will feature its yearly Golden Arm Renunion, which consists of celebrated craps players who have accomplished dice runs of over one hour at the Cal craps tables.
