Family detained for tobacco smuggling - 2004-02-17
Three associates of a South Yorkshire family who funded a lucrative lifestyle from tobacco smuggling have been taken into custody for avoiding £237,000 in excise duty.

Mark Barnes was also accused of being a regular visitor to a local casino where he squandered thousands of pounds on gambling.
The three pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court to keeping and dealing in cigarettes and tobacco during a four-year period.
