Coushatta members allege veteran leader of mishandling millions - 2004-02-17
The spokesperson of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana for 17 years has been accused by other associates of mishandling millions of dollars of the tribe's casino profits.

Nearly all the profits under inquiry comes from the Grand Casino Coushatta east of Lake Charles, John explained. The tribe constructed the state's largest land casino in Kinder in the mid-1990s and it produces roughly $300 million a year, according to gambling industry estimates.

Indian gambling dispute gets controversial - 2004-02-17
State legislative hearings on the 15-year-old gambling compacts the state has with 11 American Indian tribes was faced with accusatory sentiments in the Minnesota House and Senate on Monday.
