Iowans Entertaining The Idea Of Permitting Table Games Like Poker - 2004-02-17
Iowans have a message for legislators contemplating a serious gambling expansion: The state doesn't require additional casinos.
A new Des Moines Register Iowa Poll indicates a 60 percent majority of the state's adults are still opposed to raising the number of casinos beyond the 13 gambling facilities that are currently licensed by the state.

However, Iowans entertaining the idea of approving table games like blackjack, craps and poker at racetrack casinos.
