Gambling Issue May Get to Legislature - 2004-02-18
It’s an issue that has been circulating for a year, but now casino-style gambling at Underground Atlanta may soon be brought up at the state Legislature.

Pitts explained that two casinos in Fulton County would generate over $300 million annually and add 6,000 new jobs. He stated building one in Underground would be just what the city requires to drive growth towards Downtown Atlanta.

Casino Business Trends: Strip Hotel Revenues Surge - 2004-02-18
Hotel operations, seeing a return of leisure travelers and limited expansion, set a record in January and are on track to set fresh marks in succeeding months, operators and analysts contend Monday.

Revenues from hotel rooms, food and beverages at the top nine hotel-casinos in Las Vegas rose nearly 10 percent in comparison with an increase of solely 2.4 percent in total hotel-casino operation revenues in 2003, data released Monday by Applied Analysis show.
