At 42, James Robinson is at a standstill, much like the gambling trade that surrounds him.
A one-time casino shift manager, Robinson has worked for five months at Corky's, a restaurant leasing space in the Tropicana Casino Resort. He makes $6.50 an hour as a restaurant host -- roughly half the pay of his previous job and $1.32 less than a casino host. He has no health insurance, pension plan or job security.
