Gaming chief supports Natchez site - 2004-02-18
The executive director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission says he will recommend authorization of site and development projects for a second casino in Natchez.

At its monthly assembly today in Jackson, the commission will hear from Charles Cato of St. Petersburg, Fla., the developer of the $53 million Emerald Star Casino and Resort to be situated south of the Mississippi River bridge in Natchez.

Additional arrests for 'honey bun' robbery - 2004-02-18
Investigators have arrested three additional suspects in a casino robbery in which a woman took $65,900 after telling a cashier she was holding a bomb.

One of the suspects taken into custody was the cashier at the Grand Casino Tunica, 22-year-old Nataisha L. Joiner, reported Alan Thompson, a special agent with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
