Voters Decline Ho-Chunk Casino - 2004-02-18
Despite the Ho-Chunk Nation's million-dollar advertising campaign and the carrot of property tax relief, Dane County constituents shot down a casino referendum Tuesday.
With smiles of relief that transfered to cheers, roughly 40 associates of the anti-casino group No Dane Casino saw the returns come in Tuesday night at the Nitty Gritty.

David Relles, who started No Dane Casino in his Downtown law office just two months ago, was too tired from the toll of the anti-casino campaign to celebrate.

Hearing postponed in suit regarding Macau development - 2004-02-18
A hearing on an Israeli tourism entrepreneur's claims that he guided Venetian hotel-casino proprietor Sheldon Adelson's efforts to construct casinos in Macau has been postponed.

Hananel stated he was "shocked, not disgruntled" to learn that Adelson and his attorneys stated he had no role in establishing Adelson's Macau casino, which is due to debut in the spring.
