Religious groups, convenience stores, bowling alleys and charities severely scrutinized Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' plan to expand gambling Wednesday, for severely different reasons.
Sebelius proposes to permit a total of five tourist-destination casinos in Kansas, which would be authorized by a special commission assigned to examine competing projects.
