Harrah's slashes work force after new coinless slots - 2004-02-19
Harrah's Casino in North Kansas City has slashed its slot department's work force by more than 10 percent, or 21 workers, due to new coinless slot machine technology.
Staff members were told at meetings Tuesday and were given a chance to apply for other casino jobs, explained general manager Ted Bogich.
Bogich stated the changes were not related to the recent launch of the new Argosy Riverside Casino, which cut into Harrah's market share last month.
