MGM MIRAGE's New York agreement faces more setbacks - 2004-02-19
It's been 10 months since MGM MIRAGE got a contract from a New York racetrack operator that would have established one of the nation's biggest racetrack casinos, or racinos. But the casino giant is still far from introducing slot machines at the track, financial documents issued this week show.

MGM MIRAGE halted construction of the slot machine casino in August about concerns that racing association officials would be indicted after the resolution of a three-year probe into criminal activity by racetrack clerks.

South African Casino Will Follow Through On Jackpots - 2004-02-19
Grandwest Casino will honour jackpot payouts amounting to R355 970(US$ 53,561) to six punters following Monday's computer glitch on some of the casino's slot machines.

This ruling followed an investigation by the casino into the malfunction, after the punters complained about being refused payment when the slot machines had indicated that they had won the jackpot.
