Louisville mayor backs broadened gaming - 2004-02-19
Saying that expanded gaming would lure 15,000 jobs to Kentucky and upwards of $400-million in annual revenue within a few years, Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson publicized on Wednesday that he would support any alternative for gaming that would attract lost dollars back to the state.

"If the Clark plan can pass and would provide a casino in downtown Louisville, I would support that," Abramson explained on WAVE-TV in Louisville.

Gaming Commission licenses Trump - 2004-02-19
Donald Trump, licensed by the state Gaming Commission today for 10 percent of the company that controls the Riviera Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, said he probably will not purchase more shares in that company. Rather, he revealed he will seek other investments in Las Vegas either with or without gaming.
Trump's company supervises the Trump 29 Indian casino in California, which he stated was quite successful. But he stated he would not be looking to manage other tribal casinos in California.
