If everything goes in favor of Harrah's Entertainment the next few years, the Las Vegas-based gaming giant will acquire three riverboat casinos in Illinois and four in the Chicago district.

But Harrah's and the other companies proposing for the state's last gaming license must persuade the Illinois Gaming Board their casino plans won't design "undue economic concentration" in the state.

Chinese Chef 'Smuggled Cocaine to Repay Casino Debts' - 2004-02-02
A Chinese restaurant chef smuggled £500,000 of cocaine into Britain from the Caribbean to repay gambling debts, a court was told today.

San Keung Yau was one of a wide group of debt-ridden people who were coerced into becoming drugs “mules” after running up the debts in two casinos in the Leicester area, Northampton Crown Court was told.
