MGM Mirage doubles its Q4 profit and then some - 2004-02-02
MGM Mirage, the No. 3 U.S. casino company, reported fourth-quarter profit more than doubled, revived by more hotel guests and gambling in Las Vegas. Net income rose to US$91.7-million, or US62 cents a share, from US$39-million (US25 cents), a year earlier.
MGM Mirage stated its Las Vegas casinos, which account for about two-thirds of profit, posted a 7% hike in gambling profits and higher average hotel occupancy and room rates.
