Sun International boosts earnings - 2004-02-20
South African hotel and gaming group Sun International South Africa has increased its headline earnings per share for the six months to end-December 2003, in spite of the negative effect of the strong rand on the local tourism business, with adjusted HEPS rising to 8.7 cents from 8.5 cents in the year-earlier period.

SISA revealed of its interests, its biggest, the GrandWest Casino in Cape Town, had increased revenue sharply to 478 million rand from 421 million rand a year earlier, and EBITDA was greater at 181 million rand from 156 million rand.
