US magnate schedules luxury NZ lodge - 2004-02-20
An ex-hotelier and casino-owner in the US is readying for an exclusive luxury lodge at Gibbston Valley, full with a salmon-stocked pond for anglers.

Phil Griffith, who has a significant stake in Queenstown's Wharf Casino and the award-winning Gibbston Valley Winery, will fly high-profile US architects from New Orleans next month to view the site.

Trump Receives Gaming License; Developer Uncertain on Nevada Plans - 2004-02-20
Nearly two decades after he first demonstrated an entrepreneurial interest in the state, New York developer and casino proprietor Donald Trump received a Nevada gaming permit Thursday.

The deal, which has not been finalized, would make DLJ Merchant Banking the majority shareholder of Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts. Trump will go on as the chairman of the company's board of directors and he will uphold a large share of the company stock.
