Harrah's told to close Iowa dump - 2004-02-20
Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel has until April 1 to produce a plan for enhancements at a rubble dump on property it owns close to another casino.
It must also create a plan to close the dump, which is on 42 acres west of Interstate 29 near Ameristar Casino.
Officials from the city's Health and Community Development departments asked that the dump be closed this year, because it was creating dust problems at Ameristar Casino, and the dirt road to the dump was causing dirt and mud problems.
