Seminole Casino Presents Job Fair - 2004-02-20
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is scheduling a job fair Feb. 26-28 in preparation for its April launch.

Recruiters explained they are seeking experienced hospitality and casino personnel to launch the $200 million casino and hotel complex.
Job fair hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 26; from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 27; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 28, all at 3101 N. State Road 7 in Hollywood.

Flipping a burger on a grill at a casino hotel resort can get you roughly nine bucks an hour, according to federal labor statistics.

That could translate into a boon to the city's locals, casino organizers claim.
"For Hesperia residents, there will be a hiring preference," declared Tom Reynolds, spokesman for the Timbisha Shoshone tribe, which would run the casino.
"And training programs will be in place."
