Winter Carnival winners unveiled - 2004-02-21
The St. Paul Winter Carnival on Friday unveiled the names of winners of promotions involving the sale of the annual buttons and the special ice block certificates that assisted in funding this year's palace.

Button card registration drawing winners were: Karen O'Connell, St. Paul, an $8,000 pendant from R.F. Moeller Jeweler; Joe Weston, St. Paul, a Carlson Wagonlit Travel package; David Housewright, Roseville, a Treasure Island Resort and Casino ensemble; James Kadlec, Ham Lake, a stay at the Saint Paul Hotel.

Bowl-a-thon is advantage to mentoring organization - 2004-02-21
Lanes are still accessible for those interested in partaking in the Fifth Annual Give Every Child a Chance Bowl-a-thon to be scheduled Feb. 28 at StrikeZone International in Manteca.

"This is a fun event with 100 percent of the proceeds going into our programs," stated Carol Davis, chief executive of Give Every Child a Chance. "Our other big fund-raiser, 'A Night of Queens and Kings' is an adult casino night, so this is something the entire family can participate in together."
