Old methods overcome new beginning - 2004-02-23
James Brent Mitchell was just moving through.
Behind him was a life spent in and out of California prisons. A fresh start with his brother in Idaho awaited him.

In between was Las Vegas.
The cash was expected to be his ticket out of town, he explained, but the excitement of winning attracted him back to the casino, where he gambled away his ill-gotten gains, mainly on Wheel of Fortune slot machines.

Over one thousand people packed the Casino Building at Georgian Court College yesterday to commemorate 13-year-old Alexandra Tozzi of Spring Lake.
