Radio-transmitting casino chips due on the market later this year could make life even more difficult for gambling cheats.
The chips have tiny "tags" that broadcast a distinct identification code. Not only will they combat counterfeiting and theft, but they could assist casino operators in monitoring gamblers.
American casino proprietors already routinely keep an eye on their tables with security cameras.
