If last week's U.S. Olympic Boxing Trials had a subtitle, it would have been "Field of Dreams." Because if the presence of casino gambling proves one thing in tiny Tunica, Miss., it really is that if you build it, they will come.

The turnouts at the Tunica Arena and Exposition Center were meager, which is not shocking considering Tunica's population is solely 1,132, and even those few souls are several miles removed from the site of the trials, which stood out like a misplaced airplane hangar amid tracts of muddy farmland.
