Ex-Sullivan County attorney gets new position - 2004-02-24
Former Sullivan County government attorney Ira Cohen, who was thrown out when a new Democratic majority won control over the county legislature last month, has joined the law firm of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP, as general counsel.

In the last eight years, Cohen played a prominent role in advising the county on issues regarding Native American gaming issues and bargained casino impact mitigation deals for the benefit of Sullivan County and its impacted local communities and school districts.

Mountain Resorts Defeated in Casino Gamble - 2004-02-24
A few players wagered on a roulette table in Crans Montana's casino. A couple more attempt their luck at blackjack, and only a handful of the 120 slot machines are busy. But managing director Timothy Cullimore is not worried.

Cullimore claims, the casino counts up to 1,000 visitors a night and even in the low season at least 150 people pass through its doors. They are mostly locals who have made the short trip to Crans Montana from neighboring communities in the valley below.
