Connecticut Haitians concerned amongst civil unrest - 2004-02-25
A Connecticut charity that operates a clinic in Haiti says they have so far have not been impacted by the violence in the Caribbean nation. But the uprising has thousands of Haitians in the state fearing for relatives in their homeland.

Over 10,000 Haitian immigrants are thought to live in Connecticut, mainly in Norwich, Bridgeport, Stamford and Hartford. Many were drawn here by casino jobs or work in factories or agriculture.
