Binion's rejects claim in health lawsuit - 2004-02-25
Attorneys for Binion's Horseshoe have rejected charges in a lawsuit filed by an ex-employee who alleged the now-closed casino did not provide health insurance coverage, even though he had paid the premiums.

Wuelly alleges Binion's breached the contract, due to the casino's alleged inability to pay for medical treatment, and of fraud due to the company's actions in taking the premium payments without providing the benefits. He claimed he has suffered destruction to his credit as a result.

Latino theme seen as potential concept for Castaways - 2004-02-25
The Castaways would be converted into Las Vegas' first hotel-casino marketed directly to Hispanics if a group of small casino operators exercise an alternative to purchase the 49-year-old property.

Randy Miller, Rich Iannone and Rich Gonzales, the owners of the Bighorn casino in North Las Vegas and the Longhorn casino on Boulder Highway, want to significantly alter the property in a way to appeal to hundreds of thousands of Clark County Hispanics, many of whom live close to the Castaways, and to Hispanic tourists from California, Arizona and Mexico.
