Mission Viejo, Calif., Man Suspected of Bank Fraud Confronted With Added Charges - 2004-02-26
Cole Bartiromo, the Mission Viejo man who currently stands accused of criminal bank fraud and civil securities fraud charges, is now hit with new charges.

The Secret Service learned of the suspected conspiracy after a Wells Fargo worker, identified in court papers as Thorsten Kuklinski, notified agents that Bartiromo had approached him and asked to "borrow" the balance of a major customer's account so he could gamble with it at an online casino known as www.betonsports.com.

Sorbara criticized over former link to company - 2004-02-26
Finance Minister Greg Sorbara must resign right away from cabinet, because of a criminal probe into a company he once directed, Ontario's opposition parties stated Thursday.
The 1,000-room resort, spa and casino bought $32-million in goods and services from Royal Group over the last five years.

The Ontario Securities Commission stated the probe also involved the company's disclosure practices, financial statements and trading in its stock.
