Shuffle Master maintains growth - 2004-02-26
Two acquisitions by Shuffle Master Inc. -- one that finalized Tuesday and another intended to be completed within three months -- will broaden the Las Vegas company both geographically and in product line.

The company, which is revealing its first-quarter earnings today, stated Wednesday that it had signed a letter of intent to purchase Casinos Austria Research and Development (CARD), a division of Casinos Austria of Vienna.

Regulations Revisions Will Advance Chinese Casino - 2004-02-26
Recent developments make it apparent that Wynn Resorts will soon commence constructing its Wynn Macau resort, Steve Wynn stated Wednesday.

The semiautonomous enclave off the coast of China is currently finalizing legislative authorization of gambling regulations that Wynn has stated were mandatory to proceed with plans to construct his resort.
The regulations that will permit Macau casinos to grant credit and to reduce their total taxable winnings by the amount of uncollectible casino debt are certain to be enacted, he said.
