Capstone Casino to include Trot Line, gambling, rewards - 2004-02-26
The Student Alumni Association will present its annual scholarship fundraising affair, Capstone Casino, from 8 tonight to 1 a.m. Saturday in the Ferguson Center Ballroom.

Students adorned in formal attire can buy a $20 ticket at the door to experience a night of gambling, live music, prizes and food.
Students will be granted access to 45 blackjack tables and can also join in craps, stud poker, roulette and wheel of fortune.

Iberia council will contemplate Video poker comeback - 2004-02-26
Carl Fenske controls five video poker casinos in Acadiana, and some are close to the borders of Iberia Parish, where the electronic gaming devices are prohibited. Now, Iberia Parish is looking into putting the video poker question on the fall ballot, but that doesn’t bother Fenske much.

“I’m completely neutral,” Fenske stated. His casinos — especially one on the edge of St. Martin Parish close to New Iberia, and another on the edge of St. Mary Parish close to Jeanerette — get plenty of business from Iberia Parish locals.
