Hotel, casino to provide thousands of employment positions - 2004-02-26
While the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino draws closer to its planned April debut, Hollywood tribal officials are seeking to hire thousands of South Florida workers to help operate the place.

''People with casino experience from other states are inquiring. But our goal is to predominately hire from the local marketplace,'' he explained.

Vegas's Venetian Casino to Pay $1 Million for Rigging - 2004-02-26
The Venetian was in accord Wednesday to pay $1 million in fines and probe into costs to settle a first-of-its-kind complaint that the resort had fixed promotional contests to prefer specific Asian high rollers.

Neilander stated when the violations came to light in early 2002, regulators found other casinos were on their way to initiating similar programs to rig contests, all of which have been halted.
