Findings in Venetian rigging land at Indian casino - 2004-02-27
Two of the casino executives let go by the Las Vegas Strip's Venetian resort for their connection to the rigging of three 2002 promotional contests are still working in the casino trade.

One-time Senior Vice President of Operations Michael French is now chief operating officer for the Inn of the Mountain Gods casino and travel center, in Mescalero, N.M., and ex-Vice President of Marketing Brian Parrish is director of marketing at the same New Mexico casino.

Vegas hotel-casino to compensate US$1 million after rigging game - 2004-02-27
A hotel-casino has settled to pay US$1 million for rigging three contest drawings, including one in which it granted a Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle to compensate a high roller who had lost a substantial sum of money gambling, regulators reported.
Casino officials reported the incident to gambling regulators shortly after obtaining information regarding the phony drawing.
