Thousands attend new casino job fair - 2004-02-27
They arrived in suits and shorts, skirts and shirt-sleeves.
They arrived from as near as Dania Beach and as far as Atlantic City, N.J. Some sought money to pay for college and others sought health insurance for their kids.
Roughly 2,500 candidates showed up on the first day of a three-day job fair. Over 600 were hired on the spot, a casino spokesman reported. The Seminoles are intending to find some 1,800 workers in time for a late-April debut.
