Ex-Vietnam Vets’ officer accused of fraud - 2004-02-28
The ex-state president of a veterans’ services association was arraigned Friday on charges that he embezzled $46,997 from the nonprofit group.
Edward Frederick, 51, of 330 Short Beach Road, East Haven, was accused of two counts of first-degree larceny in connection with the theft, according to the office of the chief state’s attorney.

"He later admitted that he eventually used the money for personal trips to the Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Arizona, Nevada and Texas," explained Chief State’s Attorney Christopher L. Morano.
