With the Academy Awards drawing near, it looked like a fine time to take in a movie.
Going through mega-dollars worth of weekend movie ads, I was persuaded to see a promising choice of the highest quality.

Marketing films is difficult. Pushing a vastly expensive product with a short shelf life to an uncertain public is tricky. Film promotion is comparable to a high stakes role at a casino more than the less time-pressured creation of brand loyalty or the delicacy of product placement by marketers.

Schumer school-buses near Sullivan County - 2004-02-28
For the second time in a month, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer embarked on a local bus to get a sense of the Hudson Valley community, this time in the Monticello and Liberty region of Sullivan County .

The senator claimed he is aware of the big issues … maintaining a close eye on the casino issue, and a clear requirement to “start thinking of highway money” … but he added, there are multiple needs in a county seeking a new birth. “You need a lot of different things,” he explained.
