Legislator file casino measures - 2004-02-28
Legislation filed yesterday would bring casino gambling to Kentucky, injecting over $430 million annually into Kentucky's anemic state budget and creating jobs, according to the bill's sponsor.
Rep. Larry Clark, D-Louis-ville, filed two bills: House Bill 636, a constitutional amendment to allow casino gambling at racetracks and elsewhere, regulated by a new Kentucky Gaming Commission; and HB 637, allowing legislation that spells out how the money would be distributed and how casinos would run.
