Casino measure brought into Kentucky Legislature - 2004-02-28
A pair of bills asking for a constitutional amendment to permit casino gambling in Kentucky, including at five racetracks and four nonracetrack locations, were filed in both the state House of Representative and Senate on Friday.
Churchill has agreed to establish its casino in downtown Louisville rather than at the racetrack.
House Bill 637 would establish a Kentucky Gaming Commission to approve casino gambling at racetracks and casinos.
