Attempts to save beaches delayed - 2004-02-29
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers claims attempts to save Hunting Island State Park’s eroding beaches have been postponed because it requires $110,000 to complete an engineering study.

Cheves claimed he is suing Georgetown County, which passed a measure impeding such gambling ships after he attempted to locate in Murrells Inlet in 2002. He stated it is illegal to permit casino boats in one county, Horry, and outlaw them in others.

Windsor man hits the $4.5M slot jackpot - 2004-02-29
Lady Luck grinned on a Windsor man yesterday. Casino Windsor officials reported a man won $4.5 million on a MegaBucks slot machine.

Casino spokesperson Holly Ward stated the high jackpot had been enticing plenty of attention from gamblers.
Officials claimed his win was the biggest in Casino Windsor history -- and the second-biggest MegaBucks win in Ontario.
