Sault Fire Department Salvages Kewadin Casino - 2004-02-29
A Saturday morning blaze hospitalized two members of the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department and closed the Upper Peninsula's biggest casino, before it was doused.

All of the casino patrons, hotel guests and staff members were vacated from the scene as a precaution. The hotel guests were permitted to return early Saturday afternoon, while players had to wait until Saturday evening to return to the Blackjack tables, slot machines and other games of chance in the unaffected parts of the casino.

Parting Las Vegas - 2004-02-29
Las Vegas has to be the most surreal of American vacation spots. It is so well documented in movies, so well known that, in a way, everyone believes as though they’ve already been there. So, when I set out to discover the states of America, I didn’t really believe I had to see Vegas. How wrong I was.

As we drove into Vegas the first thing I witnessed were the lights, then the hotels, then the casinos, though in Vegas hotels and casinos are more or less the identical thing.
