Castaways Probably Done - 2004-02-04
The Castaways is unlikely to relaunch, Las Vegas casino industry executives forecasted on Monday after the 49-year-old hotel-casino was sold to Vestin Mortgage, the property's largest creditor.

Casino industry watchdogs doubted the property's future as a casino, and stated that the big three locals operators, Station Casinos, Coast Casinos and Boyd Gaming, almost certainly would pass on a chance to buy and run the Fremont Street hotel-casino.

Card will add points for food, display purchases - 2004-02-04
The One Club loyalty card given to guests of Mandalay Resort Group's properties nationwide will soon be capable of using it to accrue points on the purchase of meals and entertainment at the resorts.

Several companies have loyalty cards that patrons use when they rent rooms and, most regularly, when they play slot machines. Card owners can win premiums for the amount of play they have and the casino companies use data to track play habits and reward valued clients.
