Phony 'support' letters unveiled - 2004-02-04
A set of phoney letters in defense of a $52-million casino/hotel project planned for Douglas Street is unfairly overshadowing the advantages of the proposal, its developer insists.
He said the proposal, which would need authorization of the B.C. Lottery Corp. to transfer an existing casino operating deal from Quesnel to Victoria, as well as provincial and municipal government go-aheads, would be a big boost to the city.
